Nice weather in January

the past few days the weather has been in the 50s-60s so we have taken the opportunity to be outside some. We played a little baseball with Parker and he seems to like to hit the ball off the T but has even more fun running after the ball and chasing the dogs in the yard.

I took him on a walk with the doggies today and he did such a good job holding my hand the whole way. I tried to let him walk Teko but he wanted to hold chances leash. I finally let him for a short distance but I had to make sure to hold chance otherwise Parker would have gone flying.

he closes his eyes when he makes contact with the bat

I tried several times to get him to let me put this hat on him finally he let me just to take the picture. Georgia (Nick's Sister) says this picture looks just like her mom's brother when he was a baby.

We went to two birthday parties Saturday. parker was thrilled with all the cake and ice cream he got to eat. I could not get it in his mouth fast enough for him. by the time the spoon was out of his mouth he was asking for more.
Parker is getting less and less willing to sit in the shopping cart at the stores unless he is driving the car carts. So if I just need a few things I let him walk. When we went to Target yesterday he insisted on us getting a basket and him holding it. So he was holding my hand and with his other hand carrying the basket. It was more like he was dragging the basket while it hit the back of his heels as he walked but he was so proud of himself and was not about to let me help him. He looked so cute lugging this big basket around the store, he got a lot of grins from people.
he is very social in public and waves and says hi to everyone and everything that moves! If people get close enough to him he wants to shake their hand. the other day when Nick took him out he blew kisses at the cashier when they left. Nick over heard the cashier girls saying he was a chick magnet. The probably think Nick taught Parker to do that....he is such an attention grabber.
He is shy though if someone else makes the first contact with him. He seems very caution if he was not the one to say hi to them first.

Winter Park vacation and potty time

From Jan 2- Jan 8 we went to Winter Park to get a holiday vacation and spend some time with my family. Nick and I were able to go snowboarding while my parents watched parker and they took him shopping and sledding.

He loved to go sledding...

Sledding down the hill with grandma...

we went on a sleigh ride. Parker did not think it was too great and it was very cold. It was a very pretty view.

Trying to stay warm on the sleigh ride...

His favorite part of the sleigh ride was roasted marshmallows. He had several of them and still tried to get Grandma and grandpa to give him more.

Nick and I went tubing!

He loved to ride in the sleigh grandma Lynn got him for Christmas last year. The whole way down he was saying "whoa whoa" it was so cute!

Mr independent tried to walk up the hill himself..he got stuck and realized he could not get up any further by himself and was upset until Nick helped him.

He loved it when Grandpa pushed him back up the hill

My brothers came down for the last part of the week with some friends.

We took parker to the pool. His favorite part was sitting in the hot tub. He did not want to get out.

It was a very nice vacation and a good chance to get away. My parents took several videos of Parker that I will share once I get them.
Every once in a while we ask Parker if he has to go to the potty and try to sit him on it just so he gets use to the idea. Tonight he actually went pee!! We were so happy and he was just thrilled with himself. I quickly got a piece of paper and some stickers and let him pick a sticker to put on the paper. I put the paper on the wall by the potty so he can be proud of himself.
