wishing star farm

yesterday Parker and i went with some friends to black forest to an adorable farm with lots of stuff to do with the kids.

This is the ducky troff races. The kids put the ducks in the tunnel things and had to pump the water fast to move them to the opposite end where there friends sent them back. such a cute idea and Parker loved playing in the water

awwww the excitement on his face!!

Next up was a train ride, Parker picked out the yellow car

A big troff of CORN. what fun!! they were nice and dirty when they were done playing in here

Pony rides. He loved it and did not want to get off the pony

They had a nice assortment of animals in the petting zoo. Parker was up close to a donkey when he got all excited to see his horse friend and went nuts with his heehaa...however you spell that =) Parkers eyes were huge and he didn't know what to think of it but he talked back to the donkey in "donkey language"
This lama was crazy looking with its insane eyes. the picture tones it down a lot

I was shocked he fed the goats because he would not get close to them to touch them so i do not understand why he was ok with this but non the less he loved it.

I just love the look on his face, so very happy!!

we were far out there!! this was taken on our hay ride
They had this huge slide to go down. Parker put up a fight getting on this but I knew he would love it and he DID and wanted to keep going down. He would not go down by himself though even though his friends were.

He was not going to get close to that camel, no way in HELL.

We got to pick out pumpkins. He thought he could pick this up

after we took this pic his pumpkin fell and knocked over the one one below causing a domino effect. He thought it was so funny and wanted his pumpkin back just to do it again. Little Booger!!

He looks TOO BIG carrying his pumpkin!

Estes Park and Dodge City, KS trips

A couple weeks ago we made another trip to Estes Park for the weekend. This time we took a long scenic drive through the Rockey Mountain National Park. Friends of ours were also in Estes for the weekend so we got together one night to for dinner and let the boys play. We tried to feed the chipmunks but they were not out as much as before. We wanted to go up the gondola where they majority of the chipmunks are but it was broken all weekend.

Amazing how there was still snow up high even though it was in the 60s and very sunny

we walked up to the highest point and Parker wanted to ride on daddy's shoulders all the way up and down

i read a sign about water that use to flow through the area so Parker started mimicking me at the little sign. He was saying "where water go"

Heading back down to the visitors center
we drove past this huge heard of elk. they were all grazing
this guy was protecting his gang and watching all the onlookers
we stopped for a picnic at Bear lake. Parker loved the duckies

last year Parker got a chippie from Noah's ark from Grandma so this year we kept up the tradition of getting a stuffed animal from the store. Parker got an Elk to signify his experience of getting to see them for the first time. Our other tradition is getting some salt water taffy from the same old store that has been around forever.

Being silly with his friend Alexander at their cabin where we hung out for dinner one night

trying to feed the chippies at the Estes park sign, but they were just not coming to us

Labor Day weekend we went to Dodge City, KS for my Great Uncle, Vernon's, 80th bday and for a family reunion.
Parker loved swimming with grandpa in the pool

He liked the slide but was not steady enough to go by himself. He was not very happy when he ended up going under water.

Going to get all cleaned up with grandpa. more water play in the showers

The boys (my brothers, cousins and hubby) watched football at the barbecue. Parker wanted to be part of the gang. He sat on Aarons (his second cousin) lap to eat his snack.

Parker was able to get the attention of Travis and my cousin Nick by throwing his ball behind the couch and making them retrieve it. This went on over and over and over again and Parker just laughed every time he did it.

we visited the grave sites of my great grandparents, grandparents and second cousin
Parker was very sweep putting down the flowers.
this is my great grandparents

My grandparents
there was a huge lunchen with about 150 family members to celebrate Vernon's birthday. My dad was trying to get parker to eat but instead parker wanted to play and pretend to feed my dad.

And trying to be like mamma with the camera

then gets another cookie

hanging out with grandma

my brother Adam and cousin Aaron talking to great uncle Dave

All of my grandmothers brothers and sisters. All of us wished she could of been there to celebrate with us
the boys-Nick, Travis, Adam and Aaron
then my parents get a flat tire. It was amusing watching the cline guys try and change it and Adam goof off pretending to yell at them

We visited the farm where my great grandpa lived and the place we stayed at many time during summer visits to dodge. parker loved all the farm equipment

He enjoyed beeping the horn over and over again on the combine. My second cousin Lisa took him up to check it out.

Few more Parker updates:

He is almost finished cutting his two year molars, poor baby has been in pain but has been such a good boy through the process.

We have been working on potty training but it is still slow going. The little stinker lies if he does not want to take time to get a diaper change and tells us he did not go in his pants.

He is completing sentences much better by adding the insignificant words and not just saying a few key words in the sentence.
My mom started teaching him the Tiny Tim song and he enjoys trying to learn to sing it
